Day Trippin' to Cheyenne
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, April 2, 2005 11:44 AM
Hey everybody, I was thinking of taking a day trip up to the Cheyenne area tomorrow, weather's supposed to be really nice. And I was wondering if anyone from the area could give me some tips on where the good railfan haunts are like a nice park or something along the line. I have been up there a couple of times before, but have never really found a good place. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try Holliday Park, That ios where the 4004 Big Boy is on display. Also I'm not sure if there will be anyone there but call ahead and make a plan to stop at the steam shop to see the challenger and the 844 You need ot call ahead so they know that you are coming and can prepare for you to be there. I don't know the number off hand but if the depot is open they can give you the number. The Road out by the KOA is a great place to watch as well as pretty much anywhere you think in town.
