Thanks!! In reading the article, *IT* just started to strike me as familiar....but thinking about what a small line the mag said it was, made me think I must be crazy.

And *that* may well be, buy thanks to you, at least I know my memory isn't going too..=)

Just seems I can recall an odd boxcar here and there with that name on it. Funny what you pick up standing at grade crossings

Yes, there were several hundred RSP box cars (actually, they were RBLs--insulated box cars).
They were yellow, with a black and red logo.
When RSP gave up the ghost these cars went to MILW, ICG, and CNW (and perhaps others). Some of the CNW cars went on to become CHTT...the only ribbed-side cars in the CHTT 50000 series.

The discussion of the Roscoe, Snyder, & Pacific in the August issue brought some thoughts to mind, and I'm not sure if they are repressed memories,..or the real McCoy.

Seems like I can recall boxcars with "R-S&P Route" lettering?
