in the movie Fried Green Tomatoes ther is a sign on 1 of the buildings that says Pritchard was this the town pritchard Ms or maybe Ala
if so what was the name of the RR in the movie i noticed the boxcars being pulled by a steam loco were the type used today they didnt look to old
i belive they had roller bearings & shortend ladders & hand brakes[8D]

All filiming occured in Georgia along the former Central Of Georgia line to Macon. For the life of me I can't recall the actual name of the town.
Former Alantic & West Point 290 a Lima 4-6-2 provided the motive power, NS was approached about the use of of 611 or 1218, though receptive to the idea, the 290 was readily available.
