KCS 7014 (ex CR SD50) and 4507 (SD45T-3) working with CSX SD40 and SD60 delivering and picking up some cars here at work. Not often we see KCS in the wilds of northern New York (Probably the first of them I've ever seen, in fact), and extra special, one was a tunnel motor! Score!

On Tuesday, I saw a CSX eastbound go through Pittsburgh with a BNSF SD40 or SD40-2 (on the point), a Dash 8 still in SF Warbonnet paint and a SP speed lettering tunnel motor unit along with 2 other CSX units.

Yesterday (Thursday) I saw the same consist going through Pittsburgh heading west.

Oh yeah, one other thing I saw. Yesterday an eastbound autorack train on CSX had 2 units, both EMD demonstrators in the blue/white scheme.

Thought this was a good place to re-post this:
My dad and stepmom came up to visit on Easter Sunday from Joliet,IL and passed through Barrington, IL where they got stopped by a southbound train on the EJ&E line around 2pm. Now my dad said repeatedly that one of the engines was a B&O engine, which of course really surprised me. Now, let me also preface this with saying that my dad grew up literally right next to the old B&O line through Brownsburg, IN and crosses an number of rail lines on his way to and from work everyday so although he doesn't follow trains as closely as I do, I know he can identify a number of paint schemes. He also said that many of the cars were CN and WC which leads me to believe that it might have been a CN train. Anyone else care to speculate?

After a week or two of various KCS power (as well as an IC) working the locals, todays local was "All CSX." And all classic - GP30 2258 (all gray) and GP40 6487. Having missed railfanning in the heyday of the GP30, this is only the second or third I've ever seen.
