Where in the world is O.S.
Posted by coborn35 on Friday, March 4, 2005 8:54 PM
I while ago we had a few threads regarding O.S., a upcoming member with great knowledge of trains. I personally havent seen a new post of his for at least a week or two. Where are you???? Please come back. Then again, if you work for the railroad, then, please keep doing your job[:D][:D][:D]

I have it on good authority that O.S. may be doing some travelling. I'm sure he'll get back with us when he's able.

Posters come and poster go. Sometimes it gets hard to deal with all the speculation that gets passed off as facts. Sometimes life throws a curve and priorities change. O.S. was a wealth of information on this forum and I hope he can find a way to resume posting here.

No sense in speculating on this. I have it on very good authority that O.S. was not a real person. Actually the postings by O.S. were the output of a top secret super huge mega computer with massive storage that contained everything ever written or said about railroading The computer was programed by a deranged rail fan. If you want to, you can see the computer at Area 51, but you have get past the aliens.

Jay,

I can't believe you revealed that secret information. Don't accountants have a duty to maintain confidentiality?

I have known about Area 51 for years. Obviously they don't let aliens out to come over to my office to get their taxes done. I learned about the computer when I was wandering around looking for a cup of cofee and a place to have a smoke. I won't disclose anything about anyone's income or taxes, but on the other hand Area 51 is......(knock at the door).......................................... . . . . . ._____________!

Unreimbursed travel expense. At 37.5 cents per mile. Guess why there is such a big deficit.

Why does the fact that we've had a couple of really bright and knowledgeable posters -- with astonishingly similar writing styles -- vapourize lately make me faintly suspicious?

[:-,]

OS certainly did remind me of another poster, and it's interesting that OS popped up about the same time the other poster disappeared....

Hmmm....

[:D] Actually, I like Mookie's theory: there is a deep conspiracy involved here... Not sure I should have said that[xx(] They're coming to get me!
