Go 100 miles west to Flatonia on I-10, at the intersection of the Dalsa and the Sunset lines.

Loop 610 at Wayside drive, the hump of Englewood...two east/ west main lines,
two north/south mains, the hump, the yard throat for East yard, Settegast Yard, or you can just sit there and watch then shove over the hump.

Anywhere along old Highway 90 on the south side..it the old SP Glidden sub

Really depends on your taste.

Like UP ?
You can go to Old Town Spring, (just outside of North Houston) and sit beside the wye.

BNSF your choice, anywhere from Tomball back into town along the old Denver and Forth Worth, early mornings and early evenings.

Or, yuo can go to Alvin, just to the south east, and sit in front of the old Santa Fe depot, and watch grain trains and solid consists of covered hoppers full of plastic.

I would suspect if you follow the UPRR Sunset route NW out of town you will reach spots where they will be motoring. [:D]
