Wow, looks like the paint is still wet on those ones.

Is that an electronic bell I see attached up by the fuel tank?

So here I'm looking for a photo of these new (GEVO) engines and I see this UP photo and I think "That looks familiar!". Sure enough it's my photo I took a few weeks back, but I swore it said C45ACCTE of the cab, I'll double check this weekend.

Ugh, I hate to be the one to hurt the paint on that unit. Heck the glad hands are not dirty at all.

UP chose to designate their ES44AC's differently so the crews would not mistake them for AC4400CW's. The "45" does not imply "4,500" horspower. These units still have 4,400.

Wow, those are the cleanest units I have ever seen...no wonder as the caption says they are in Erie, PA...most likely just out of the GE plant and have not run a single mile on mainline track...look at the pilot and trucks, not splashing at all, NONE!

Take a picture of those new UPs while they are new because the next time you see that engine it will look like it drove through a dirt pile [;)]

Now that UP washes its engines as often as SP used to.Maybe SP management took over the UP mechanical department[}:)].
