CPR train wreck in the 1930ties

During the depression years my father in law ( now 86 ) was riding the rods . He came across a wreck from the previous day on the CPR in Ontario. He remembers seeing the locomotive layng on it's side way below at the bottom of a high embankment. Steam was still escaping from it. It happened around the years of 1934 to 1937. He is not too sure. It happened on the Schreiber subdivision in northwestern Ontario. Does anybody have any info or details on this? Thanks in advance, MAX[?]
