FM Train Masters

Did any of you railroad workers get a chance to operate FM Train Masters. How were they? Did they have a good reputation? Good pullers? How about other FM engines. Or is their popularity with Lionel train guys blown out of proportion. I personally like them, they are brawny looking beasts.
