NFL rips off the rails!

The certain-to-lose Patriots at least have a fairly good train name; Patriot was the name of a through DC-Boston train on the PRR/New Haven, unless memory decieves me. The unbeatable Eagles had a whole fleet, even if the MoPac never came closer to home than St. Louis.
There really was, of course, a Kansas City Chief (ATSF, Chi-KC, and if you rode it, post a recollection). I believe it was the Lehigh Valley that had an Asa Packer, close but no cigar.
Santa Fe also had a Saint, but that was wayyy long ago. Am I missing any?

Ifish,

Soon to lose Patriots? Nice to see confidence, however, Philly is not exactly the most disciplined team in the NFL. Should be interesting...............

My two favorite passions in life--rr history and football. Nothing like seeing a college game in person on a crisp fall afternoon (espically at Oklahoma Univ in Norman where the stadium sits next to the BNSF Red Rock Sub.) Go Sooners!

PRR had morning and afternoon Steelers. MoPac had a Texan.

And when this Jacksonville thing blows over, they may go back to playing the game in a ... Super Dome.

I was supporting the team, okay? I KNEW we were in trouble. The betting in the office pool was heavily for the Patriots. We love our team, but we aren't nuts when there is 25 cents at stake.
