Just as the Chinese get ramping up on their version of it, which they expect to take up in stages to (eventually) over 1000mph.

I'll believe it when I see it in operation transporting real people.   Beyond that they are just spending money and issuing press releases.    Which is what Virgin was doing with other people's money until the purse snapped shut.

Welp, looks like that expensive theory is over with...

Just as the Chinese get ramping up on their version of it, which they expect to take up in stages to (eventually) over 1000mph.
