JayBee I've been looking for a good history of Southern Illinois Railroads. Unfortunately I don't know of any books dealing with the subject. Mrchickenstrips Thank you very much, I know what to look for now! If you want information on similar books that cover other railroads that are not part of the "Railroads of America" series, let me know. Unfortunately there are some railroads that I am interested in that have only have brief or no histories published.

JayBee Mrchickenstrips I recently got a book about the ATSF. In the preface, the author states that it was originally published by MacMillan in the "Railroads of America" series. After doing some research, I found four books in the series ATSF, Illinois Central, Canadian National, and Louisville & Nashville. Are there any more books in this series? I'd like to get all of them. I have five books from the series, the four you listed, plus one on the history of the Canadian Pacific. A sixth book was announced as being in production, but I have found no evidence that it was completed. It was to cover the Northern Pacific.
