Log trucks and bad brakes go together. All that running around in muddy fields can snag the brake assembly in vasrious ways. Drivers many times do not check and clean brakes if necessary.
Ulrich diningcar Since the truck driver walked away it is likely he advised about brake failure. Of course he would..

Never too old to have a happy childhood!
I'm surprised at how quickly the cause of the accident i.e. brake failure was determined. Accident happened on Tuesday.. not much left of the truck.. and they already know that it was brake failure? Usually accident investigations take a little bit more time. Something fishy about this story.. brakes don't "just fail".. if they did we'd all be in alot of trouble.
Give them credit - at least they didn't report "train hits log truck..."
