Reply hazy; ask again later.

The inability to reply started around the time Steve Otte said that IT had resolved the 'reply button' issue, whatever that was.

The inability to log out except by wiping cookies is in evidence.  When I attempt to post, from any browser, I get the same blue-text 'an error has occurred' screen.  When I attempt to respond to a PM (with someone I've started a 'conversation' with already) I get a different, but equally cryptic message.  Both say to 'contact an administrator.'   This is the page URL:

Called Customer Service this morning, where we worked over an hour to troubleshoot it.  They have escalated it to the "Home Office" with a request  to 'reach out' to me when they have identified the problem.

I will try to start threads with updates if and when I hear anything from Customer Service or from Pennywise Information Technology.

Incidentally, the issue with non-subscribers not being able to use the online contact form has been solved.  Everyone who registers is now given a 'subscriber number' which you can get by calling Customer Service by phone and asking for it.  I recommend everyone who reads this call up and get their number to be able to send e-mail the next time something like this happens.

Perry: look up Sprague's MU, modified Ward-Leonard control, the operation of a Woodward governor, and the Southern Railway or other maintenance instructions on how to set engine speeds for different locomotive classes.  I'll explain more if and when I can.

We'll see if the cavalry comes!
