From what recall there is a railroad that goes thru KOP and a forner PRR line that goes behind the KOP mall so why does SEPTA need to buy out and condemn 200 residential properties and as a result kill off traffic as a result?

It is a bit hard to imagine that something like this is worth a quarter of the whole Gateway project, and indeed the moment SEPTA had to pay its fair share of the project... it shelved it and will be 'applying the funds to other projects' or however they put it on the project Web site.
