Destroying (?) signal control cabinets and hacking computer networks (still XP based so easy), as well as communicating train movements to the Ukraine were the tactics. 

There may be methods to get around WP paywall, but now that I subscribe those old ways may no longer work. Most paywalls allow a limited number of free articles.
