I am still stuck in Pinto car era technology and my Google photos won't stay up even when I used a PC with the phone
You can't post pix, per se.
You must post the pix to a photo-sharing site, then you can link to them in posts here.
Still in training.
This site won't accept outside links to photos unless the photo files are being hosted and available for the server here to 'fetch' the files to show in real time.
You must use your charging cord to upload the image files onto your device that can take you to a webhost for image files like photobucket, imgur, railimages.com, and so on. Once you have your files in a gallery there (you have to register as a new user, and you'll get a limited cache to use unless you pay up). Then, you come here, open a text box to reply, go back to your gallery and get the proper tag (looks like [ img ], but without the two spaces). Right click on the image, copy the img file that shows, come back here and paste that link. When you post your reply, the image will show as you see those of others showing.

Ah, whenever I passed it on the Turnpike heading north one sniff of the place told me I was home like nothing else did!

It's not the data transfer, it's the storage space. Granted, storage is cheap, but it still costs money.
On a forum like this, images would be many, resulting in the need for huge amounts of memory. Especially if some folks got into a "my picture is better than your picture" feud..
I'm sure that as far as Kalmbach is concerned, they're glad to let someone else host those files.

Also keeps them out of copyright trouble.
Agreed. If one could just post directly, there would be way too many pix here. It would adversely change the forum.
I personally have lots of photos, of course; but one can choose not to go there and see them. And I suspect many have indeed chosen not to. Members here should have a choice.
