The Circus Train was done under the auspices of the Circus World Museum of Baraboo Wisconsin.  Here's the website.  I don't see any mention of the Circus Train at all.  Maybe a temporary suspension?  https://www.circusworldbaraboo.org/

I did some more research and the statement was made the last one would be the last one and I believe the sponsorship at that time was $5 million as the Circus World Museum never paid for it, it was always a large company that paid to sponsor it.    I suspect the price of sponsorship or the insurance on the wagons got to be so expensive they couldn't find sponsors for it anymore or lining up sponsors became increasingly difficult.    Thats my suspicion.

Wow, it's a ride at Disneyland now:

Ernest Borgnine has been dead for 9 years.  We're coming to the time when most people don't even know what "circus train" refers to.

And the REAL Barnum & Bailey Circus Trains stopped operating in 2017 when the circus closed down permanently.

Never too old to have a happy childhood!

Circus Train to Milwaukee?

Do they still run this annually for the great Circus Parade?    I remember part of that event was the annual visit of Ernest Borginine to Milwaukee as he would be in that same Circus Parade as a clown (he liked being a clown as a hobby).    He would drive his camper bus across country from California to Milwaukee each year.    Below is one of his visits:
