I spoke too soon. Although I can access News wire if I go back to previous pages and select a tale and finish site the IT returns me to original (todays news wire ) and I have to navigate back in. Frustration too much to go further back.
Until they get to a single login giving proper access to all areas of the site, they have not accomplished squat.
Never too old to have a happy childhood!
finally got access to news wire today. Granted I quit trying every day.
Carl, make sure youre logged in on the Trains site. I've found that being logged in here does not necessarily mean you're logged in there.
Still in training.
Sadly, I've reached my "quota of free articles" for the month (which obviously doesn't coincide with the calendar month), and I'm back to Square One. No time to deal with this mess today.

Electroliner 1935. I did not get it today.
Not to burst your bubble, but I no longer get that notification either, and I don't subscribe.
Hopefully when they find the time to track that one down, they will fix the avatar problem, also?
Does this mean avatar uploading will be possible by 2035?
If it means I wont get overlays saying I have 2 stories remaining on my trial period, I'll be happy. I have been a long time subscriber to Trains since the late fifties. I did not get it today.
I would like to see the COMMENTS box show whether there are any comments without having to open it.
Well that's good, but I wish they'd get the "Events" column jump-started, the thing's been off-line for months.
It can't have been a whole lotta fun for our hosts, particularly the IT folks, during the past rollout. They've caught a lot of flack.
Happy for you.
Without me eating anything (or even tossing my cookies), I have Trains' Newswire back. I'd missed it, but had been too busy (logging carchaeology information, dealing with medical issues times two, and so on) to do much about it. But here it is...and I appreciate it!
