I went to work at an export elevator in Houston in 1979 that had experienced an explosion three years earlier killing six men. Many of the people I worked with had been there when the explosion occurred and the stories they told about the experience were, to say the least, sobering.

I know a guy that lives accross the street from a similar concrete elevator that had an explosion. He said it blew a chunk of concrete the size of a car out into the street.

About a week ago the Landus Cooperative (formerly West Central) at Jefferson Iowa had a grain dust explosion.  A security camera at a neighboring business caught the explosion.
