Didn't the old British "Railway Roundabout" program have an eppysode about inspecting this viaduct, using the then-new 'manlift'-capable offset crane that could reach 'down and over' from track level?
What a timeless structure! The Victorians certainly built for the ages, didn't they?
And look at the discomfort the crew's going through in the video with modern protective clothing! Can you imagine the Victorian workers out there with nothing more than wool outer clothing? Tough people back then!
It's something, how proud they all are to work on the viaduct.
Beautiful viaduct on a great line.
