Here's One for Those Who Like Foreign Power in the Blue Hour

The other night I was fortunate enough to catch the southbound Ethanol train (CP 650) just before all light faded. The DPU was an unusual catch, being a BNSF Dash 9. Enjoy!

Nice catch Harrison!  I'm fascinated how the snow on the ground kind of catches and intensifies the blue of the "Blue Hour."

Nice catch of the BNSF "Punkin'" on the tail end!

Man, that's a LOT of ethanol!  No wonder Green Giant "Niblets" corn has been so hard to find lately, it's all going into ethanol production!  Or something.

Nice job!

Re:  Ethanol - CSX's Chicago Line sees a lot of it, too.  In equally big trains.  The ethanol push has affected the price of corn for all uses.

Thanks Larry and Wayne! There has been many more ethanol trains lately then ever before, at least that I can recall. We seem to be getting 2-3 a week in each direction, I don't even understand how the Port of Albany can handle that much, especially with the trains they're getting coming from CSX.

Well, Lady Firestorm did  manage to score three cans of "Niblets" at a Food Lion the other day.  She felt like she hit the lottery!

Oh, Harrison, I forgot to mention I really liked that closing shot with that light in the distance shining across the lake.  Very nice!
