OK, so that means they are back to using the old 1900 era WC Passenger main into North Milwaukee which I believe is owned by WSOR now and splits at Rugby Junction from the former Soo Line main line.
kgbw49I don't know how old the Google Maps image is but the one that comes up as of 01/27/21 still shows the NE quadrant connecting track in place. However, what is torn out on that image is the nearby switch to the Quad Graphics siding.
Yes my Nephew works at Quad they consolidated I believe to the Sussex Plant further up the rail line, they might be planning to shutdown that location in Duplainville. I worked at their Sussex plant myself for like a month or two for a flex labor force firm back while in college. It is very team oriented and they all wear color coded polo shirts with the quad graphics logo so you can tell which department they are......back in the 1980's which was long ago.
At any rate, it is good to hear it is still in place I think it was probably another forum where I read it was removed. Now I wonder which route is faster into Milwaukee. I would suspect Duplainville but have no clue as it is also more dog legged and not as direct as the line via North Milwaukee.

So I think I read in this Forum somwhere they disconnected the connection put in by Soo Line at Duplainville. Is it just the switch removed or did they lift the whole track. It appears they are still using the former WC passenger line into North Milwaukee via Rugby Jct though? Anyone know why they prefer this line over the Duplainville connection. I am just curious if anyone knows.
