(Omaha-World-Herald)
Antrak's California Zephyr will go as far west as Denver for at least next week because of storms in the rocky & sierra Nevada mountain ranges.
Amtrak said it has temporaly suspended operations of the Zephyr west of Denver through at least Thursday, offering service from Chicago to Denver,Co.
The CZ normally operates daily between Chicago & Emeryville,Californa. with stops in Omaha,Denver,Salt lake city&Reno,Nevada. In Nebraska the Train also stops in Lincoln,McCook&Denver.
Passengers ticketed to go beyond Denver will be offered refunds.

Why don't they connect up with the SW Chief? Denver to Trinidad or Denver-La Junta? for the duration.....They could at least see if the pipedream is plausible.[}:)][}:)][}:)]
Mudchicken Nothing is worth taking the risk of losing a life over. Come home tonight in the same condition that you left home this morning in. Safety begins with ME.... cinscocom-west
