Good for him, I'm glad he has a place where he can enjoy some peace and quiet, just like anyone else.
We had Thanksgiving already, and I'm glad it wasn't this weekend, Alberta and B.C. got lots of freezing rain and wet snow last night.
Greetings from Alberta

A group of us were at a restaurant near Stockbridge several years ago, and Arlo Guthrie sat, alone, at a small corner table, having dinner.
The locals in our group said he's there very frequently, and it's kind of understood that he should be able to dine in peace. This really funky roadhouse/restaurant was in the middle of nowhere, and probably not too many tourists find it. I never saw anyone approach him. After he finished eating, a friend joined him for drinks and chat.
May the bird that gets flipped your way be tasty!
Never too old to have a happy childhood!
Happy Thanksgiving, all!
Have you ever seen that Norman Rockwell painting of Stockbridge, MA at Christmas? Alice's restaurant was up an alley in the middle of the block- it was actually called, "The Village Restaurant." Have you seen the Rockwell painting of a little boy running away from home at a lunch counter with a cop leaning over to talk to him? That is Officer (later Chief) William Obenheim, known as Officer Obie. I would see him directing traffic in Stockbridge from time to time and I do recall the church where Alice and Ray Brock lived. It was kind of an uneasy mix of bikers and hippies; Alice being the hippie and Ray was a motorcycle racer. We used to own a ski house nearby from 1968 to about 1990.
The restaurant is just about a mile from the railroad station and I recall when the New Haven sign was taken down when service ended in about 1970 or so. Served by RDCs and later the line was part of B & M who ran freight sporadically. I think it's now part of the Housatonic Railroad.
Gotta have the lasagna with the tiny meatballs!! - Every holiday :)
Or, you can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant...
