Hi all,Thanks to listening Brian Solomon's podcasts and the recent columns by him and Bill Stephens, I am thinking about taking a drive from Rochester to the Southern Tier of New York State, specifically the Canisteo River Valley and the ex-Erie mainline
Wondering if anyone can share information about current operations on the old Erie southern tier route between Hornell and Corning, NY? I am interested in number of trains and general times they show up along in the middle of the route. Any recommended accesible spots to watch trains would be appreciated. I would be spending around 3 or 4 hours on the line between the two cities, mostly along the river. (I will be going regardless but hope to catch at least one train.)
Otherwise if you could provide a free website that I could use to look up train operations that would be helpful as well.Thanks.
