I was thinking of taking this down time to learn more about setting up an ATCS viewer on my computer. Everything I find references joining a Yahoo group. But Yahoo quit operating groups in late 2019.
Where to go now?
ATCS Monitor switched from Yahoo to groups.io when it became clear that the "new" Yahoo Groups service wasn't going to host any files or archive former posts. They are still very active and you should have no trouble locating them on groups.io and getting them to send you an invitation to join.
Is ATCS available for the area you want to monitor? Especially with all of the satellite coms that came along with PTC, many of the comms once used to monitor ATCS are no longer available. This was the case with Deshler, OH. First came the black hole that showed up where the North Baltimore IM facility was built, the everything was gone.

Not sure.. I'm in the Minneapolis/St Paul area.
I'm an ATCS member, so I went and took a look at their files- they have a nice wide area layout for the Twin Cities that covers the BNSF from Coon Creek on the NW side all the way down to the Prescott drawbridge. Seems to be working well. They probably have layouts for CP and UP as well, but haven't investigated yet.

CP is covered both west to Glenwood, and by 4 separate screens all the way to Chicago. There are 3 different ATCS layouts covering the Twin Cities, Twin Cities wide area, Twin Cities East and Twin Cities West, with these two extending further beyond the immediate Metro area. Also on the ATCS screens are hot-links to Radio Scanners.
