Caboose questions...
Posted by techguy57 on Sunday, January 9, 2005 6:10 PM
Hey guys, my girfriend saw a caboose on the EJ&E in Barrington headed south last week and when she told me about it it made me curious as to where it was going and who it belongs to. Here was her description (let me preface that she has gone fanning with me and knows what to look for):
-Freshly painted light powder blue all over the body but an older
undercarriage, that didn't appear to be ex-Conrail.
-No noticeable reporting marks (this is the one that got me)
-It was a cupola style caboose.

I'm hoping to catch it somewhere myself but if it was on the "J" I don't know how likely that really is (most likely very improbable)

If you know anything or have any guesses let me know.

Mike

Type in Schnabel and search through several sites that have pictures of most of the Schnabel cars in North America as well as pictures of the cabooses that accompany them. Good Luck!
