The foundation for the World's first roundhouse built by Robert Stephenson for the London & Birmingham Railway in Birmingham has been rediscovered at the site planned for the Curzon Street Station for High Speed 2 in Birmingham, England. Originally built in 1837 it was rediscovered during preliminary excavations for the new Station to be built adjacent to the Original and still standing 1838 Station.
