Convicted One Deggesty I certainly hope that we will continue to have this means of communicating with one another. I have appreciatied and enjoyed the privilege of communicating with fellow railroad lovers I agree, Facebook, twitter, and the like really never had much of a shine to lose IMO. the "HTTP Forum" framework really got a lot of things right the first time. It's distressing to see so many places throwing it out in favor of the fast-fade of social media.

Those of us dinosaurs from the Boomer age and before don't fit into the 'short attention span' mold that drives Facebook and the rest of the 'hit and run' applications that the more recent generations of our species think are 'cats meow' of current tech.
Media, to effectively provide communication must be much more than a 'sound bite' or a 'put down' - neither of which are real communication.
Never too old to have a happy childhood!

Convicted One blue streak 1 Have tried to use " search the community " function. even typing in exact title of threads finds no result. Anyone also having problems ? Has not worked for me for so long that I forget when It last worked. Some have speculated that it likely will not be fixed until the next software change. Of course none of us know for sure if the next software change will include a public forum or not. I hope it does, but a lot of businesses are getting away from those type of frameworks allowing users to control structure.
