He sure is!  Here's all about him...

I have also wondered about our Brother, " Broadway Lion"  His color photography technique was quite spectacular, and unlike any I had seen before.....

I think it was back in early (Feb. or Mar.) (?)  2012[ Thread was: Lions W/ Cameras] that one of the Model RR moderators (?) had transferred to the TRAINS Forums some of Bro. 'Lion's" photographic work over to this Forum.   His story as presented in the link is fascinating. I wish him well, and hope his health is good.  Whistling

He generally posted in Transit when he visited his old hometown New York and rode the subways.  Maybe he did not get back there this year.

"Coming Events" under "Resources" doesn't work either, and hasn't for weeks.

Lithonia Operator
Messaging works fine on my computer, but not at all on my phone.

Regrettably, I just tried to do a search for "Lion", and came back with zero results.

Is this gentleman literally a monk?

He posted yesterday in a thread on the MR side about soldering practices.......

I'm pretty sure the Lion is just fine.

Good question Johnny.  Maybe you've been on here for so long yours has always been active.

For everyone else, look at the upper right corner of the Forum page, look for your "callsign," and under it you'll see  "Manage Profile" and "Settings."  Click on "Settings" and on that page scroll all the way down until you see "Allow Conversations."  The options are listed there.

My "Allow Conversations" turned itself off about two years ago, and who knows why?  Another poster brought it to my attention when they tried to PM me with no success.

Wayne, I do not send PM's oftern but I have had no difficulty when I had the desire--and I have never noticed anything about an "Allow Conversations" option--am I really privileged?Smile

I'd love to see the Lion back here again, his posts were very humorous and a lot of fun.  I guess he just got bored with us.

I don't know, the PM function was working this morning, I got one from Deggesty.  Maybe it's on-again, off-again?

Mind you, not everyone's PM function seems to be turned on, so if anyone's reading my words who's used the PM function in the past you may want to check and see if your "Allow Conversations" option is active.

Lion posted extensively in the MR forum day before yesterday, so still going strong.  When Kalmbach gets the PM function resolved, someone could contact him directly and perhaps induce him to post over here again...

I miss seeing the "Broadway Lion" here as well.  It's been a while since I've looked, but I think he posts on the "Model Railroading" magazine Forum exclusively now.  You may want to have a look over there.

I just tried the "Search the Community" option over there, and I don't think its' working.  I couldn't find "Broadway Lion."  Hell, I couldn't even find ME!
