What I really like is way the shadow falls pretty much halfway across the front of the cab, with the shadow starting at the front angle, with the lights providing a contrast.

Wanna know whats even more weird?

I built that train up that morning, its blocks from Phillips, Dow, AutoFina and Solvay, plastic pellets and powdered PVC.

The photo was taken that afternoon, at a supermarket parking lot, just down the street from my house, the BNSF Houston sub on your Trains map.

As I was leaving work at the north yard, these motors were coming off of the lead from Englewood.

The trains destination is only about three miles ahead of it in the photo, Casey yard, a storage in transit yard.

These guys will shove into Casey, fold the train over into a few tracks, then pull empties to bring back to us at North Yard.
They should be back at north yard by 9 or 10 that night, they will leave the power attached to the empty train in our receiving yard, and cab back to their terminal.

The next shift, a BNSF crew will cab to the locomotives, cut away from that train, run around the yard, and get back against the BNSF outbounds for Dallas/Fort Worth.
They will fold it up, and get out of town, going right by Casey (and my house) on their way!

I wonder. The newswire was pretty late last night and maybe Bergie had a tough day. So, why not call on Ed for the picture of the day. What could go wrong?

Congratulations on being the "go to" guy.
