In Edmonton much of the old CN City Yard is now occupied by the Grant MacEwan University and Rogers Place, new home of the NHL's Oilers.
Just west of the Grant MacEwan campus the foundations of the Canadian Northern roundhouse and turntable were briefly rediscovered during a construction project several years ago.

Both of the last two BCER steeplecabs survive in preservation. 960 went to the WCRA in Squamish, while 961 made a very roundabout journey back her original home in Oregon, via Edmonton Transit, the Edmonton Radial Railway Society, and the Fraser Valley Heritage Rail Society.
Besides Iowa Traction's fleet, 961 (as ETS 2001) may have been the last North American steeplecab in regular service, hauling worktrains on the Edmonton LRT (note the pantograph instead of trolley poles).
Two of CP's Baldwins also made it into preservation, DRS-4-4-1000 8000 keeps company with BCER 960 at Squamish, while DS-4-4-1000 7069 is in the John Street Roundhouse in Toronto. As far as I know they are the only Baldwin diesels left in Canada.
