I recently read that in 1888 the first interlocking tower was built in Canada by the Lake Erie, Essex & Detroit River Railroad, later Pere Marquette, later C&O. LEE&DR erect the interlock at Winsor, Ontario where they crossed the Michigan Central Railroad at Pelton. Can anyone verify if this is correct? What was the Tower's call sign, When was it taken down?
