I noticed on my ride home a BNSF covered hopper with a 19th-Century style herald for "The Denver Route." Didn't have enough time to read the smaller print, both trains were moving in opposite directions. Carl and others, please enlighten me as to what I saw.
"The Denver Route" is a new oneto me; I recall only "Everywhere West."

BNSF has a fleet of "Heritage" Covered Hoppers bearing the names, and logos of the Post WW2 predecessor railroads. So the " Denver Route" was the slogan for the CB&Q and later BN subsidiary, the Fort Worth & Denver RR which ran from Houston through Ft. Worth to the Texas - New Mexico border at Texline, TX where it connected end on with the other subsidiary Colorado & Southern RR also a BN subsidiary. Remember at one time every railroad that operated in Texas had to be incorporated and headquartered in Texas.
