IIRC, 261 arrived in St Paul Yard from Chicago between 10 PM and 1 AM(at least in the late 60's).

98/99 were the overnight piggyback trains between Southtown Yard(Mpls) and Chicago.  #98 would leave Southtown around 5:30 PM and make a pickup at the Old Yard in St Paul.  I think it may have stopped in Milwaukee, but I am not sure about that.  #98 would arrive at the Old Yard and set out most of it's train around 5:30 AM, then depart for Southtown to tie up.
