I know what you mean Sam, I'm afraid if I'm off the Forum for a day or two I'll miss something really important.

Kind of like being home sick from school for a week, then getting back to class and having NO idea what they're talking about!  Remember THAT feeling?

I did NOT see the UPDATE and did not write.

 Yes,

I ' lost ' five 5 aquaintances in April alone, and was sick with the flu for two weeks. Yuk.

I rode my 4-8-2 bike down to where I took the photo of CP 4104 ( Same digits, different order. )  in May 1969 ( they lifted the steel there in 1972 ) and left peanuts and black sunflower seeds for Mr. Squrrel, The Chipmunks and the Chickadees.

They love it and come out when I call them.

No bears yet, but, they are out.

Mosquitoes to follow, The National Bird.

I got caught short and had to stop in to the Old Folks Home to use their washroom. Many in there I know, and more gone I once knew.

Met several and we all had a nice chat and Remembered When.

The old guys remember Steam and K3 and Retainers EVERY TRIP.

Someone compared the Baby Boomers to a Watermelon moving thru a Python.

I ride my 4-8-2 Bike to funerals and drive around the parking lot, then chain same to the gas meter.

Expect to visit there very soon regarding others I know.

Thank You.

Say Hello to Mr. M.M. Please.

Not a good combination - best wishes for speedy recovery, with plenty of nice, quiet rest.

Ulrich

I certainly wish him well.. he's  in good care at the Royal..

He must be!  He posted me a shot of what he had for dinner last night, and it looked a hell of a lot better than what I had last night!

Hello all!

I've been given his approval to pass this on, so I think all should know that frequent and valued poster Miningman (Vince) is in the Royal University Hospital of Saskatoon with severe flu and heart-related issues.

He's getting better but not going home any time soon.

I won't pass along the e-mail he's currently using unless I get the OK from him, he does need his rest, but all your thoughts and prayers will certainly be appreciated.

UPDATE

This comes courtesy of Mike (Wanswheel.)

Anyone wanting to send best wishes to Vince can do so through the Saskatoon Health Region system

State the hospital, and Vince's last name (find it in the "Contact" e-mail address in his Profile), and here's the site...

https://forms.saskatoonhealthregion.ca/wellwishes/

I just tried it, it works!

WHAT would we do without Wanswheel?  Bring himm BACK Mr. Moderator!  Please!
