The dray to large metro areas seem to be too far to make a logistics park out of it.
I like the part about it being unclear if the change is because of a shuffling of capitol spending. I imagine the damage from the massive flooding in the central part of the US has something to do with it.
Back in 2011 they were all set to install track on the Blair subdivision. Wouldn't have made it completely two tracked, but close except for the Missouri River and the Elkhorn River bridges. Then the floods came that year. Instead of installing track, resources were directed to raising the tracks in the flood prone areas. They never have installed the second track and the roadbed in places is starting to erode away.
