In several of your shots looking east, you can see the smoke from a major fire in an industrial facility on Utica's east side.
And parked on the north side of the station is Adirondack Scenic Railroad equipment, including the locomotives I usually run.
Utica Union Station is a beautiful facility, fortunately saved by the county from who knows what fate. As can be seen in some of the shots, the bridge is a popular place from which to watch trains.

MWHA 805, still in BCR paint, was EL 2455
MWHA 2456, in GVT paint, was BCR 2456 and EL 2456
MWHA 2042, red, white, and blue, was BCR 642, and is the movie star of the bunch, having appeared in the movie "Atomic Train." The lettering for the movie used to be visible.
