Somebody help me with the math please. The article shows the price per share went up $15.11 in a day (150.76 ending – 138.65 starting), and that $15.11 represents an 8.7% gain, and a  $9 billion increase in the total stock value of UP. If I take $9,000,000,000 divided by 8.7%, I come up with the total stock of UP being $103,448,275,870.00. Is UP a $103 billion company?

Still bullish on UP and their stock has more room to climb.

As of today, it's $106.1B.  I hope it holds up for when I have to draw on my 401K.  I have no idea how many shares I have in there, but it's got to be worth something.

to add a note to what Norris said: "... ( Murphy Siding) on Thursday, January 10, 2019 12:45 PM..

Carl: Not sure I'd be able to hang on...Since I'm (and you, as well, are retired). I'd probably take the money and run... 'That Bird-in-Hand thingy'.Mischief
