I really like to see a company issue a statement that says something like "XXX Company names best person to fill position."

Such a statement is always open to conjecture - to some it may be the best person, to others it may be the worst person - to most it will be meh!

I'm surprised "first women" would still be news in this day and age. I would have thought that bridge had been crossed long ago.  Good for her though.
