The MB stadium has an honest-to-God locomotive horn installed.  It is plenty loud and sounds great!  Went to an MLS Atlanta United game there.  They blow the thing after every goal.  Lots of railroad themed stuff.  The stars of the game pound in a golden spike after the win, fan group called "Terminus Legion" after old RR-based Atlanta name.

The team draws over 70,000 a game.  The horn has no trouble getting them revved up!

Speaking of footbal and trains, does anybody know if there will be a special Army-Navy game train from West Point to Philadelphia? I know there was one a few years ago because I saw a photo after it ran.

The Everett Silvertips minor league hockey team has a "goal" horn that is on a box with a BNSF logo hanging from the roof.

Felt confused when it would go off :)

It's distinctly possible.  The scoreboard at the United Center has what is either a locomotive horn or towboat horn that is sounded three times when the Black Hawks score a goal.

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

Watching the Ravens-Falcons football game.  Part of Atlanta's piped in 'crowd noise' sounds like a railroad horn.  Is it?

Their stadium is just a football field's distance away from the CSX main through central Atlanta, so it's very likely.

The horn was sounded at the times the Falcon fans needed to 'increase their participation' in the game.  The horn was not being sounded in any relationship to any railroad horn signal.  Wonder if the stadium purchased the horn from the manufacturer or on the 2nd hand used railroad equipment market.

Never too old to have a happy childhood!
