I've never seen a train like this. Nine engines, led by NS, UP, CSX, and BNSF. The pictures aren't great because I couldn't get too close.

You need to upload them to the internet, then they will post. I use Imgur but there are others.

Wait, the pictures aren't in the post? They are in mine...

I'll upload and link in the morning.

They show up on your computer because they are resident on your harddrive... have to be moved to someplace that the rest of us can access.

Kalmbach IT has not mastered, or won't provide the band width, that many forums do to allow users to up load their pictures and/or videos to the Kalmbach servers.

They wouldn't have shown up at all in that case.

What I think has happened is that he has them in Google cloud storage and tried hot-linking them here; they did show up originally (I saw them shortly after he posted) but now have large minus-sign warnings that the content -- which still has the URL pointing to the file storage location -- is not being rendered or served.  (Do I remember correctly from a previous discussion that Google Drive doesn't allow user hotlinking?)

I wonder if he could post the URLs using the Forum URL-tag convention (which allows placeholder text to substitute for long convoluted URL syntax in display) instead of using the 'photo' embed tool.

I don't blame Kalmbach in the least for avoiding the can of worms over rights and DMCA takedowns that would come with "hosting" uploaded content of 'indeterminate provenance' on their systems.

Hint: one of these pictures might be the definitive answer to the question Harrison just proposed on the "show me" thread he started...

See this in Model Railroader Forum:

Sign on to a photo service (usually free;  I use flickr), load your photo to their site, call up the photo you want to post here, then copy the url and paste it in your submission.   It's really a little simpler to do than to explain.
