Hello everybody. I am doing a research paper in one of my college classes about Wick Moorman and his influence on the railroad industry. I know many of you are more educated on this topic and I would like to hear what you have to say wether it be opinion or helpful sources or whatever else. I would really appreciate any help and thanks in advance.
See if you can find back issues of Railway Age and Progressive Railroading magazines. I'm sure they've had many articles on him while at NS and then at Amtrak, where he seems to have been 'snake-bit' as the saying goes.

Note to Joseph Renner: An interesting 'subject' to tackle. In a management field, that from the very first has been populated by very, strong personalitiies; covering a wide swath of management styles, and historically, varying levels of 'success'.
Wick Moorman, seemed to enjoy accolades as to his success in guiding Norfolk Southern Corporate, in interesting times as an industry. Not only in a business sense, but of note, his interest, as an unashamed, historical railfan; giving a new life to the 21st Century Stean Program at NS.
His term at AMTRAK seemed to start with an expected fan-fare.but I wonder, in a historical sense, how will it be viewed, in the historical sense?
His chosen successor,MR. RICHARD H.ANDERSON seems to be hell-bent on the distruction, of not only the National Passenger Rail Corp, but also Mr. Moorman's legacy?
I wish you well, Mr. Renner. I hope, you'll share your thoughts and findings here, on this Forum, as well.
