First time in almost 20 years, I have seen Highway 75 closed (in Plano) due to flash flooding from heavy rains, that is a major artery into Dallas from the North for Trucking. If it is that bad for the freeway system I wonder how the railroads are faring here.

OK, so past history in Collin County is after a bridge is compromised by flooding usually the railroad raises it's grade through the flood prone area or makes the bridge or trestle system a little longer. I know SP and Cotton Belt did so as on a lot of their abandoned lines their bridges show evidence of being raised and were generally higher than a Interurban Bridge next door to them (as in Allen, TX).
