Been looking for this episode since it first aired in 1984. Enjoy!
Needless to say, the museum has changed a lot since then.

I have been to the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum several times. It is great, and it is worth an out of your way to some place else stop to visit it. Make sure you go when the trolleys are running.

You know, at the time it was called "Mr. Edison's Wonderful Talking Machine," but I'll bet even ol' Tom didn't realize how wonderful it was.
Imagine, hearing the singing voice of a man who lived a century ago, and a song about a subject still near and dear to our hearts.
Wonderful indeed!
Firelock76 Nice! How about a little musical interlude from 1905? "On A Good Old Trolley Ride." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7d3TDPE0K2c

Never heard that tune before. Definitely would have been fitting.
Thanks, it was fun to watch.

On the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, I went on what I called a Mister Rogers Road Trip. The first stop on the trip was at the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum in Washington, Pennsylvania, which in a 1984 episode of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood had been the Arden Trolley Museum. It was a fun time not only getting to see the preserved cars but to see them in operation and ride on them.
After the museum closed, I then headed to Latrobe to visit Unity Cemetery where Mister Rogers was laid to rest and then to the Hotel Saxonburg in Saxonburg for dinner, which was where in a 1982 episode of Mister Rogers Neighborhood we were taken to see a restaurant. It was a fun trip, and I hope to make it over there again.
