El Faro - Sailed from CSX served Blount Island Marine Terminal

NTSB report on the vessel El Faro that was loaded at the CSX served Blount Island Marine Terminal for it's final voyage.  

While not directly railroad related, it does give some insight into the operations of ocean going vessels.  It is a long read which I found facinating.

"Final voyage" since it sank Oct. 1, 2015 with the loss of all 33 hands because of sailing directly into Hurricane Joaquin.

Took a bit to get to the NTSB report[Cert.Issues?]  A fascinating and interesting read; The final parts ref: Ships Master were pretty much a 'mixed bag'; In final not to complimentrary to the Master, and to his qualifications on the part of Tote, sort of lackasadasical in their personnel issues(?).
