SD40s in Arizona?
Posted by lazyfortress on Monday, February 12, 2018 3:39 PM

Hello everyone!  I am planning on building an HO scale track with Arizona scenery.  I really like the SD40s, especially the Norfolk Southern high hood SD40-2s.  Does anyone know if NS ever operated SD40s in Arizona?

If not, did any other lines besides Arizona & California, ATSF/Santa Fe, and Union Pacific operate SD40s in Arizona?  SD45s, GP40s?

Any information is appreciated!

NS has never had track in Arizona, however, with the run through power agreements among the Class 1 carriers, virtually any Class 1 carrier's power may operate through Arizona on the carriers that actually operate in Arizona.

Never too old to have a happy childhood!
