Question centers with the old Gateway Western. Doing some research on short lived run-through NWES which ran from Newton directly to East St. Louis. Train lasted only from 1996-1997 until coming off. Task of job was to take St. Louis traffic that collected into Newton and haul it to the GWWR yd @ East STL. What would have been an average train count per day during this time at say Slater? One could always tell which train was the run through as it had BNSF engs on it.
