Update on winter project C&O M1171
Posted by jjlamkin on Wednesday, December 22, 2004 10:45 AM
[:)] Hello everyone,
Just an update on the C&O M1171 motor car I purchased in October. Finally was able to get it to run. Hand cranking is really hard on the right arm. I found a large enough socket to remove the spark plug (2-cycle A6) and found the plug totally fouled. Installed a clean backup plug and wow! did it run, especially loud inside the workshop.
Have a Safe and Happy Holiday season! See you on the rails (legally that is).

You might want to get a case of those A6 plugs. They foul quickly in light service.
